Rho Chi is the pharmacy academic honor society. Rho Chi encourages and recognizes scholastic excellence and seeks to promote fellowship among members. KU's Alpha Rho Chapter offers group and individual tutoring for courses throughout the pharmacy curriculum.

Membership & Fees


Students are eligible for Rho Chi membership during the spring semester of their P3 year if they:

  • are in the top 20% of their class after completion of three semesters.
  • have completed at least one-half of the classroom and lab coursework required for the Pharm.D. degree.

Prospective members are evaluated on scholarship, character and conduct. Members are inducted during the spring semester of the P3 year and become a lifetime members of Rho Chi.
