The Jeremy A. Matchett Excellence in Pharmacy Award

The Jeremy A. Matchett Excellence in Pharmacy Award is presented to one or more P3 students at the school's annual White Coat Ceremony.

The award was established by the Matchett family in 2005, in memory of Matchett, who served KU for 31 years, including 22 years as a professor and 16 years as a School of Pharmacy associate dean.

Award Criteria

The Jeremy A. Matchett Excellence in Pharmacy Award is open to all KU School of Pharmacy P3 students.

Applicants are asked to submit a short essay that demonstrates how they possess:

  • Academic excellence
  • Objectivity
  • Honesty
  • Integrity
  • Compassion
  • Enthusiasm
